Tooth treatment

Now the treatment takes place on comfortable chairs in a semi-lying position, which allows the patient to relax. The doctor uses a modern, high-speed turbine drill and ultraviolet lamp to harden fillings. It works with a highly qualified assistant, which significantly improves the quality of the doctor’s work and shortens the time of the visit. Patients are anaesthetized for treatment in conservative dentistry and prosthetics, and thus not only for surgical procedures.

Why should we treat teeth?

First of all, because there is a close link between tooth diseases and the general state of health. Neglected teeth (also milk teeth) are the source of focal infections. These are conditions that can be located in the heart muscle, iris, eye, kidneys, ovaries, and thus organs far away from the teeth, causing dangerous complications. Such foci in the oral cavity are periodontal abscesses, tooth roots left behind, teeth with pulp gangrene, teeth difficult to cut out and retained. It may affect the deterioration of mood, insomnia, loss of immunity and headaches.

Why is it worth going to the dentist?

The main role in keeping teeth in good condition is played by preventive measures – training of patients and regular checks. Thanks to oral hygiene, some people rarely need dental treatment. However, many people should treat their teeth and still avoid the dentist. In some people, this is due to negligence, in others it discourages costs, and in others, they are just afraid. Whether or not you belong to one of these groups, ask yourself: What can a dentist do for me? Should I pay him a visit?

Tooth treatment at the dentist

With the help of a dentist you have a chance to avoid pain and loss of teeth. Together, you can prevent the formation of plaque, which is a thin layer of bacteria that deposits on the teeth. These bacteria, which eat food scraps, turn sugar into acids, which make the enamel porous. In the tooth tissue a cavity is formed as a result of progressive caries. At first you do not feel any problems, but when the caries reaches the pulp, the pain can be unbearable.

How often do we have to visit the dentist’s office?

Dental examination should be carried out regularly in children every 3 months, in adults every 6 months. Your dentist may recommend shortening or extending these periods, depending on your oral condition. Regular check-ups will help you to keep your teeth healthy for many years.
